An ability to organise activities.
Ability to achieve results and meet deadlines.
Must be able to commit at least 2 hours of time every week. The Key role of the Youth Leader is: To organise and deliver local youth activities To engage with Muslim young people to participate in activities. To actively support and promote the benefits of volunteering. To fundraise locally to support delivery of activities. All Muslim Youth Leaders will receive Leadership training that will develop their skills and understanding and will help them to get actively involved. Also there will be the opportunity to build on this training and complete a part time NVQ youth work qualification. The course is designed to give students an understanding of the key principles in Islam. Training will be delivered by an appropriately qualified Islamic Tutor. Core Islamic beliefs and practices will be examined alongside key areas of Islamic Law in order to provide a basic and consistent level of understanding amongst volunteers. The course will look at improving the moral character by using the Quran and Ahadith, and by studying the different definitive stages of development.
